Merriam Dolphins Swim and Dive Team
Welcome to the Merriam Dolphins Swim and Dive Team. We're excited that you have chosen to become a DOLPHIN!
The Merriam Dolphins team goals emphasize fun, teamwork, community involvement, responsibility, exercise, skill development, and skill improvement. We are a family-oriented team and parent participation is mandatory to ensure success with meets, parties and other duties. This also helps create a positive atmosphere for swimmers and divers to grow in their abilities and confidence in the water.
The Merriam Dolphins program is sponsored by the City of Merriam Parks and Recreation Department, and the Dolphins compete in the Johnson County Municipal Swim and Dive League.

- 7&U, 9&U, 11&U - Be there 5:15pm
- 7&U, 9&U, 11&U - Warmup at 5:30pm, Meet starts at 6:00pm
- 13&U, 15&U, 18&U Warmup and compete after littles

Team Registration
Be a part of Merriam's swim and dive teams! Athletes can choose to swim only, dive only, or swim and dive for the same fee. Swim caps and shirts are provided. Athletes will need a blue competition swimsuit.

Pre-Competitive Swim and Dive
This team is designed for young swimmers who are learning to swim and dive and working on increasing their skills and endurance. This isn't intended to be swim lessons. A qualified simmer should be able to swim across the pool for 25 yards. They don't need to know all four strokes.
Competitive Swim and Dive
This team is designed for high-level swimmers who are able to swim 50 yards without stopping and know all four strokes.

No problem. Please attend the Parent Meeting ( Wed 04/22/26 ) for indepth details on each of our teams. The coaches will provide answers to any questions you may have. You can also email the Head Swim Coach, Caitlyn Bonner if you have any immediate questions about the Merriam Dolphins Swim & Dive Team.
Scholarships
The Dolphin Fund supports low-income Merriam families. Eligible families receive up to $100 per year per youth toward swim team and swim lesson registration.
