This is Caitlyn’s seventh season coaching, sixth season as the Head Swim Coach. She swam competitively for thirteen years; nine years with the Merriam Dolphins, and she swam on the varsity and state swim teams all four years at Shawnee Mission North High School. Caitlyn has eleven years of experience as a water safety instructor and has been a competitive swim team stroke judge for three years. Caitlyn has a Bachelor's degree from KU in Design:Illustration & Animation and a double minor in Sports Management and Dance. 

This is Brooke's fifth season as the Head Dive Coach. Brooke has nine years of combined diving experience with the Merriam Dolphins and at Shawnee Mission North High School where she was a State Dive qualifier. She also has 11 years of swimming experience. Brooke recently graduated from KU. And she will be starting a new job as a Flight Attendant later this year.

Ali has swam at the Merriam pools his whole life. He swam competitively for all four years of high school. Ali was hired as a lifeguard at the Merriam Community Center when it opened in 2020, and then was promoted to Head Lifeguard the next year. He’s been an assistant swim and dive coach for the past 4 seasons. Ali is currently a student at KU studying Sports Managment.

After many years as a Merriam Dolphin, Carter joined the coaching staff in 2023. He'll continue to share his passion for diving as he helps develop young divers. 

Sam swam as a Shawnee Shark for 5 years before going to high school to transition to cross country and track full time. He picked up swimming again senior year and was a letter winner and state qualifier. Sam now runs cross country and track at Washburn University and competes in elite invitational triathlon races and contends for podium placements.

A former Merriam Dolphin herself, Naomi joined the coaching staff in 2024. Naomi has been a competitive swimmer since she was a kid. She also works as a head lifeguard at the Merriam Community Center, and teaches swim lessons.
